Maintains over 20 miles of horse only trails, sponsors organized trail rides, administers Coggins tests, maintains grazing pastures, future additions include a club barn and stables .

Maintains nearly 400 acres of ATV only trails and scramble areas. Future additions include a day meeting shelter, highway 2 parking and trails access.

Maintains a 4000 ft by 150 ft grass strip which is nearly seasoned and improved for landing small airplanes. Future additions include a club hangar and club room, and airpark and an RV park

Manages hunting area of over 1200 acres for deer, turkey and pigs. Use of primitive weapons, bow or shotgun only unless hunting under management guidance by Game Warden Danny Arnette. Currently maintaining feeders and 10 food plots.

 

 

Recreation Activities at Walton Plantation

Together with each parcel sold in Walton Plantation is an easement for recreational activities on nearly 4,000 acres. Many areas have designated uses and signs will be posted where appropriate.

All recreation uses are subordinate to the timber and wildlife management of Walton Plantation as outlined in the Forest Management page.

Many recreational activities at Walton Plantation are seeing enough activity to require instruction and management and socializing! Clubs have been formed for these activities. If a club has been formed for a specific recreational activity, then it is required that you join the club to participate at Walton Plantation.
